![]() The days can be long and they can be stressful, but I have learned to handle the pressure and succeed. My typical day consists of prospecting via phone and e-mail in the morning, taking floor traffic customers throughout the course of the day, and delivering cars at prearranged times. Reaching a good deal and delivering the car someone wants is very rewarding. The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting new people who get as excited about our products as I am. Still, the most difficult part of the job is closing a deal, but I feel I have come a long way since my first month and now close customers more often than not. Through them and the management staff, I have learned how to deal with customers in a business relationship, how to absorb product knowledge, how to close deals, how to deliver cars with speed and grace, how to stay in contact with customers after a sale, and how to prospect so I always have a customer base. My co-workers have been helpful as well, giving me advice and assisting me through the rigors of the sales process. The managment team has shown great confidence in my potential to become an effective salesman and they have guided me toward that end with a lot of support. I started from the ground up at Mike Barney Nissan, working there on and off for several years in the detailing and lot work departments until early this year when I was offered and accepted a sales position. Their jingle says a lot about working there, Great dealership! Wish I was still working there. They aren't the biggest, the most boastful Nissan dealership in western NY, but that's only because they don't charge the customer to be that with gimmicks and unnecessary upsells of service. No gimmicks, no potions or special services just what the manufacturer recommends.Īt the end of the day, you also get treated well, and a fair days pays for your efforts. ![]() They are also probably the least aggressive dealership in upsells that I've ever worked at, if it's not needed, they don't suggest it. If they recommended something, they'd probably also have suggested it to their own mother too. Shopping for a new or used Nissan Stop by Mike Barney Nissan to browse our selection of cars, trucks & SUVs for sale. ![]() The techs in the shop are some of the best I've worked with, and I've worked at a lot of dealerships. ![]() Management is friendly and laid back, yet knowledgeable and supportive. You never feel pressured to do more than your best - as you should, anyway. And it doesn't matter if I'm from Toronto or Buffalo - if somebody wants to do treks with their credit card payments then they'll do it, so this dealer should not except any credit card payments at all - they are being hypocrites.Depending upon what your expectations are, how realistic and mature you are that is it's a great place to work. I recommend to everyone not to deal with this dealer, there are other dealers around so deal with them. Still waiting for refund confirmation - I asked for that hours ago. I said fine, I asked my delivery person to leave and ask Wes to process refund to both my MC and visa. I called him and told him that I emailed already my confirmation for the cost of transmission, they took my credit card payment so why doesn't he release this part - he told me he fills that I would charge back my credit card and they would not get payment for the part. Then, after 5 minutes my delivery person called me to say they are not releasing this part (even paid for) because they were affright I would put stop payment on it after part pick up and requested that I speak to Mark, the manager. When I've remind him of that then he processed to charge $1932 witch was balance. After he came back he took my visa and wanted to charge me full amount for this part, not considering $500 deposit that I paid already. I called Wes to tell him about it and he says he'll ask his manager for the next step. Parts person that my delivery person was dealing with was very rude, as if he would hate the job he is doing. I had my delivery person bring old transmission (the core) and pick you new transmission. I paid $500 USD deposit and part was ordered. As per Wes manager they wanted me to confirm by email that it's OK to charge my credit card that I give it to them over the phone, sins I'm from Toronto. He found part number and price and we agreed on terms. I've ordered transmission from this dealer and person I was dealing with was polite. Looking for a Certified Pre-Owned Nissan Mike Barney Nissan is the only official Nissan backed Certified Pre-Owned Nissan dealership in all of Western New. I give 1 star as I could not go lower then that. Very bad and extremally low class service.
