We hung out in SoundWaves for a full day and could have easily gone back and relaxed another day. The entrance to SoundWaves utilizes a wristband that was part of a package we bought which activated a gate to allow you into it. The adults only pool and bar area was also genius. We were very impressed with the size and variety of water slides, tubes, wave pool, kid zones, slow & fast rivers and a flow rider. We went specifically this time to check out the new SoundWaves water park area built adjacent to the Magnolia area of the resort. We have stayed at this massive hotel several times over the years, mostly at Holiday Time to see all the festive lights and decorations and to catch some of the seasonal entertainment at the nearby Grand Ole Opry. ![]() ![]() Our room was overlooking the river in the Delta area and our meals - while very pricey were very good at Cascades and the Old Hickory Steakhouse. Most of this area was great, but a few things to be aware of: the wristband was a bit finicky and took a few tries to activate, the food and beverage is very expensive and a panini we got was burnt black! The expectation is that for high cost, quality is expected.Īs far as the resort was concerned, it was in it's usual good shape. ![]()
